I have G400 32mb single display. I keep getting a no hardware found on Kingpen , I get a big black screen with big white blocks in Alien V Predator. In podracer i get a really dark screen with shadowy looking figures. I have cel 300a oc to 450. on an Abit Be6 mb. My viper v550 worked great. So it has to be the card not the machine. The weird thing is the demo runs great and so does Half Life...any ideas on how to fix would be helpful.

There's a patch for AVP that fixes this problem. There _will_ be a patch for Pod Racer. It's not just your machine. Try unplugging your USB devices, if you have any - that is the official Lucas workaround until the patch is out.

Prblyl8, Make sure you have DX 6.1 installed on your system. If you do, then try reinstalling it again. Use the Driver CD that came with you G400, DX 6.1 should be on there.

Are there any other games that have known problems with the g400? It seems that all the one I like to play dont work...But from what I have seen so far its well worth it.

I play Kingpin on my G400 SH 32 just fine...It took me a complete C:format and a fresh install of Win 98 to even get this card to run stable on my rig. B4 it would crash in everygame including the tech demo. But it seems to work well now. Does anyone know if the "Expendable" demo supports EBM? Id like to test out EBM...so could someone answer this please?

I know this will sound terribly facile, but have you checked your color depth? Mine once got set in 24 bit color and I had the same result in Pod Racer, and no hardware found in a few other things. Problem went away if I switched to 16 or 32bpp.

If you're referring to avp098, this didn't fix my white box problem.

the file is about 800 k matrox is not yet aproved to release it. go figure. it works fine though.
make sure you have the latest update istalled
first. ie o98 build patch.
