SS2 + G200 = Freeze

I can start SS2 on my Voodoo1 board, then change to the G200 and look at great graphics. But as soon as I start to move around the system locks. The voodoo1 works fine.

I'm running the latest drivers from Matrox:
4.11.01.4330

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

System: Celeron 300 (fails at 450 and 300), BH6, SB Live (fails with wound HW Accell off), 128MB, Millenium 8MB G200.

OK, it works!

I reinstalled the old display drivers ( Revision 4.26.032 ) and it works. A little choppy at 800x600, but acceptable (next will try overclocking the matrox a little... but bring on that G400 Max!) and gorgeous.

The version I have that works is: 4.10.01.4260

So, if you have a G200: DO NOT USE the latest Matrox drivers ... 4.11.01.4330 locks us System Shock 2 (at least on my system).

Man, you must have some heavy duty cooling.

Anyway, I was using the unified drivers which I installed over the prior drivers. Matrox support recommends deinstalling everything and reinstalling the G200 specific drivers. I'll try that after I play a while... I'm sick of hacking it!
