This posting was origionally started by The Phantom but was lost last night when the server went down.
-------------------------------------------
My spec:
K6-2-300
TMC V15VG+ 1MBit BIOS [Z2] 1Mb CACHE 100Mhz
64Mb 100Mhz Dimm
Creative SB128 PCI
Millenium G200 AGP [250 Mhz RAMDAC 8Mb SGRAM]
VIA Drivers:
All latest except Bus Mastering which is 2136 coz my CDRom 'looses' data with the last two revisions [apparently due to there being a secondary master Harddisk on the same cable]. AGP VXD is latest and set to TURBO mode.
G200 Drivers:
Latest BIOS
PowerDesk 5.15
AGPx2 is FORCED ON
Tripple Buffering is ON
32 Bit Z Buffer is OFF
Anisotropic Filtering is OFF
All others are default.
BIOS:
AGP Write 1 WS ENABLED
AGP Read 1 WS DISABLED
CACHE Timing is Fastest
SDRam is 8ns
AGP apeture is 64Mb
----------------------------
So PCIList shows that AGPx2 is NOT checked but NOT greyed.
3DMark99 Score is 1935. [Racer=28fps, 1stPerson=14.4fps]
Everything works fine, albeit a tad slow at times.
Playing with AGP VXD Turbo/Normal and FORCED AGP X1/X2 in reg has no real effect on 3DMark99 scores [5/10 marks down here and there, but that could be just a bad run]. Either was its still only AGPx1
I read on a post on Super7.com that my MoBo may only support X2 with a 2Mbit BIOS [Z3-Z6], but that contradcts TMC's website which says otherwise...I have emailed TMC, but with no reply....yet.
Somone out there must have the same MoBo and G200 combo!!! But can they get AGPx2?
Can anyone suggest any changes to my settings which could help me break the 2000 mark on 3DMark99 or get AGPX2?
What do you guys use for OCing the G200...and what are good settings? And what do you reckin my CPU is safe to OC to??
I'm gonna tweak this sucker past 2000 if its the last thing I do!
If you wanna know anything else just ask!
FraZor [AKA FraZomBie].
