Quake 2 too fast!!!

O.K., trying to set fps to 35 max but the line disappears from the config file after playing!
The line I'm using is:
set cl_maxfps 35
is this correct?
(its for internet play)

Good for you, most people are complaining it´s too slow

Now serious, I guess you have timedemo set to 1. Type "timedemo 0" in the console.
