Assimilator - I have read where there is definite evidence that the 366 Celery chips run much faster in SETI if underclocked to 50 MHz fsb. It doesn't take effect for at least 6 weeks. Also, it is required that you run the processor no more than 4 hours a day. Once these requirements are obtained, it will process WUs in around 3 hours.

          PIII 600E @ 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, Asus P3V4X
PIII 700 @931, 128 MB RAM, AOpen AX6BC Millenium Pro II
PIII 550E @ 733 MHz, 256 MB RAM, Asus CUBX
PIII 600 (Katmai) at spec, 384 MB RAM, Asus P2B-F
Dual PII 500's (Katmai), 384 MB RAM, Asus P2B-D

Configurations are subject to change without notice.

By the way, I'd like to publicly apologize to my Asus P3V4X. Ever since I complained about it lagging a little behind my Intel systems, it's been a SETI WU crunching monster. For some odd reason, it has been noticably and consistantly faster than my other systems, including the 931 MHz rig.

Oh yeah ,that PIII 550 (maybe 500)is running 24/7 for me .

And I have lost the PII 333 ,possibly permanently

              Ees,

Thanks for letting me know what happened concerning pictures not being in the computer, and the fix. You are right, they are there now.

I couldn't resist helping . Anyway, I just aquired an 800E - runs at 992 (except in UT). Finally broke the 5-hour barrier for average WUs (at least with this computer).

Is that with RAM at CAS/RAS 2?

Ideally yes, but I'm trying it at CAS 3 to see if it will stabilize the system (it's the tested 222 Mushkin RAM). Also trying 1.75 V with the CAS 3. The CAS 3 along with going generally much more conservative in the BIOS did not help. So far, so good at 1.75 and CAS 3. I'm afraid to try UT until tomorrow.

What kind of WU times do you's all get? (exc. those that have put it in)

Also, does anybody have a benchmark page or know of one which shows off different OSes, CPUs, FSBs?

                            Of course Pace, no problem.

                            1x Athlon 650@750 with 1/2 L2 Cache 128MB= 6hrs 20 min
                            PII-400 128MB Ram= 9hrs
1x Celeron 300A@450 with 64MB Ram= dunno really but think it was 10hrs
                            1x Celeron 333@375 with 64MB Ram=13hrs
1xCeleron 300a=23hrs(eek! It runs as a NT server, has to do a lot i think{not under my Admin})
                            1xK6-2 350@400 with 128MB Ram=14hrs, the use of CLI brought a 2hrs40min speed increase!
1xPII 233@266 with 64MB Ram=12 hrs, good for that slow system

                            Mega
                            K6-3 400Mhz@450Mhz
                            G400 16MB, 192MB Ram and so on

Pitty you cant put that PII 233 on a BX board.
I have a PII 233 @ 280MHz (2.5x112)with RAM at CAS2 ,so far it's doing WU's in about 10.5hrs!!! ,very fast for its low clock rate

As for benchmark-unit and different speed-tips, look at http://www.teamlambchop.com/
The benchmark-unit hasn't got gaussian, and are around 30m shorter if normal is 8h.

                                As for the speed:
                                Dual-p3-600: 7h42m/unit
                                Dual-p2-333: Around 12h40m.
