The routine should be like this:
1. You sign up for SETI by entering your e-mail and a few minutes later you receive your password.
2. You join Matrox Users by entering your e-mail and your received password.

It is the same for me. I signed up for SETI last Friday, never received a password in an email, and when I try to retrieve my password it say's that the page is offline.
