  • Damn!

I've just came in from a day in town (shopping ) to find my P2 sitting at the work unit I left it at last night (16 hours ago). All because I had selected some text on the client window - this halts the damn batch! Doh! 10 hours of crunching wasted...

Don't suppose anyone will know a way around this? I think I need to start evaluating some of those 3rd party apps...

    Paul.

Yeah, that doesn't happen in NT or 9x, just W2K. You have to go to the top left menu thingy and chose edit/mark to start selecting text in NT/9x, but in W2K, you just click and drag at any time. I figured it out luckily while uploading units, not while crunching, so now I'm very careful about clicking on the crunching window

I will try to find a solution for it! I'm runing W2K myself!

You should have new mail! (optguide ver.1.3)

I thought I was careful too . Do we all drink before doing Seti stuff ?

The crunching and sending are unaffected though - it's only when the batch file has to be accessed again that it stalls.

Thanks for the mail Guru - I'll update it tomorrow.

For the window running the batch, select Preferences/Options
              De-select QuickEdit Mode.
              And you're back to NT4-days.

As for 3rd party, then I looked into it some months ago, the only usable caching-program was SetiQue. Most didn't work on NT. I haven't tested SetiDriver, since this wasn't out.

SetiStash works nicely on 9x and NT alike.
                It's for CLi only.
