  • Linux caching scripts?

I've got a P2-400 with CAS2 RAM sitting here as a Linux gateway box.

Its not on a permanent connection, so I need some form of WU caching for it.

Its running a fairly minimal setup, so I'm trying to avoid Perl, Java and the like. A simple shell script would be best, I could write one myself but I thought I'd save myself the effort and post here first

Check my site (Seti!) for Ees's Unix guide - there's a section in there regarding caching units in Linux.

Basically the same as Maggi's batch scripts from Ees but he links to another page for having a WU cache proxy but I'll let you check the site out so you can recommended it to friends!
      http://www.pace.fsnet.co.uk/seti is the short url!

        I already looked there

The WU cache is java based, I don't really want something in java, especially not with a web interface (have to run a web server too then, which could interfere with my caching proxy).

I'll bash up some simple shell scripts when I get home

        EDIT: Typos

I don't know Perl, and it would be well overkill for this anyway
