Now there's a thought...my Server has a itty bitty scratch on it so it won't install...

File exchange? I'll find what files are missing from mine and let you know

I don't know if I've fixed the links! Have I? A little busy these next few days (finishing off some work I took on over my holidays) but a few link updates should be within my capabilities.

I'll rake out my Server CD and get back to you.

    Keeping this on topic, just!

    Paul.

hey paul, if you have win2k pro could you mail me winnt.exe from the installation - it's the installer app, mine is toast, it crashes when I try to add my scsi driver in

      EDIT: email is rec108@demeter.cs.york.ac.uk

Yea - I've got W2K Pro as well.

btw, has anyone got the original or seen it? I've got the CD and it looks soo cool! A big flashy hologram across the whole CD

Well it's shiny - must be good

Hehe, well I've not got WinMe yet

Though has anyone noticed the new Microsoft license key idea? I've just found out that they've been doing it as far back as Win98 SE! Where they stick the license key on the PC before selling it...so anyone wanting Windows keys can pop down to their local PC superstore and pick up loads of them with some pen and paper!

Surely a flawed idea from Microsoft?

Yeh especialy since they are so caled "one fits all" code's so you only need one code and it will work with any W98SE no mather what language! Still it's bether than w95's code (00195-0211111111111111111111) or office 95/97 (111211111111111111111)

UH BTW SETI I reaced 2.5k tonight

Hi guys - I've got the installation CDs of each of these - can you let me know if these are of use to you or does it have to be an installed version? (though I've got Pro installed).

A path would be nice too (no, not a garden path )

                Paul.

Butcher found out his install was crashing because he didn't have a floppy drive installed

Quite how he intended to insert a disk into drive A: after pressing F6 I'm not sure

I don't have a floppy either! I busted the controller ages ago and although I've had problems with Win9x (mainly the l..o..n..g.. delay every time it tries to access it), NT has always been ok (though I've never had to use a floppy for SCSI - Win2k picks mine's up during the install anyway. I press F5 for ACPI though and that works fine - 2k must assume a floppy disk for the scsi driver - this kind of behaviour is usually associated with Win9x now...I guess not in this instance!
