  • What can I do?

The email address I use for Seti is no longer a valid address(it's a long evil story, don't ask). What can I do to change it. As fas as I can tell, I'm screwed.

If you know your password, going here ( http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/account_area.html ) will let you change your email address...

oops! Forgot to mention that I forgot my password. Damn! here is what SETI says:

If your SETI@home login is not a valid email address, we unfortunately cannot help you access your account or your credits. You will need to create a new account with a valid e-mail address to access any future credit.

This blows bit fat chunks of multi-colored seti bits.

        I think you're toast.

You can still use the old e-mail address to upload your units, but you won't be able to change anything about your account.

If I were you, I'd just continue using your old account; 1675 WUs are not something to just throw down the drain, and how often have you changed anything about your seti-account anyway?

Maybe a little tip for all the others: get your password, and keep it somewhere safe...
