I get those java errors once in a while, and I've found that stopping and restarting setiproxy makes it start working again. Considering you've successfully transmitted those 8 wus from berkeley, it's probably configured correctly now.

I still can't get the client to connect.

I'm not getting the errors anymore after a restart of the server, but the client still won't connect.

I just set up another setiproxy machine, and I think I know what the problem is. During the first connect, make sure setiproxy is set to autoconnect, then try to connect with the client machine. After it's done it's first load of workunits, you can set it back to manually connect if you wish. Let me know if this works.

The proxy was set to auto connect at all times.

Well, I'm stumped. Mine went up pretty easily, which is surprising considering how much trouble our firewall usually causes. I'm afraid I don't know what's wrong with your machine. Anyone else have any ideas?

That's ok. Thanks for the help.

The PC is leaving my desk and going back into the lab now, anyway. I was just hoping to milk a few WU's out of it.

I bet it has something to do with how the boss setup the network. Maybe? Maybe not...

I don't know. I'll try again if I get another pc on my desk...
