Why Alpha Centauri has left the team....
Hi guys,
Most of you have noticed Alpha Centauri's withdraw from the Matroxusers Seti Group. Now it's time to tell you why.
There were several reasons that brought Alpha Centauri to leave the team in a democratic act (both members agreed).
1.) We didn't cut it anymore. There was a time when Alpha Centauri was a strong team, hovering at 25-35 WU's a day. Then many members left the subteam and we pretty much sucked. But after a considerably amount of time, tweaking and Hardwareupgrading we finally were back to 20-25 WU's a day. The sad is that this wasn't enough to keep ahead of some "persuers"

It's always the same. First you gain a rang, then someone comes out of the dark and you drop to your old rang. Mark F. does a good job, so does Charles. They would have taken Alpha Centauri's rang and we would have droped back to Place 8! For me that wasn't that i was hoping for
, the other team member also thinks so.
2.) In my new team, Planet3DNow!, are all the people that have left the Alpha Centauri SubTeam + some other friends. It feels better to crunch together in one group. Matroxusers was no option for them because some of them don't own such cards anymore (me to, changed my G400 16 MB to a Geforce2 MX 32 MB[sometimes 2x faster than my G400, mostly in OGL])
3.) This also is the 3rd reason. I'm not a Matroxuser anymore, but have a 3DNow! CPU...
I hope you understand and accept the teams decision.
Of course there are some things I'll really miss.
1.) seti.matroxusers.com. This advanced site kept the team here for more than a month.
2.) You guys
But, keep in mind that this 5500 WU's don't hurt you much. in about 3-4 days you'll have crunched this amount of WU's.
