Guru, we've had the seti@murc logo up for some time already on the genome-page.

Hows about having a Genome@murc logo?

And, as Mark suggested, a Genome@murc forum ??

            Just a thought

As Rattledagger noticed, I added the Seti logo for the moment, and a link to the website. However, all my attempts at a logo have been crap (well, not perfect anyway ), but if anyone thinks they can better what I've done, then post it in here.

I don't know if we merit a Genome forum yet, as it took long enough to get a Seti one However, I'm sure if Genome becomes very popular, then it might merit Ant's attention.

If not a Genome@Murc, then how about a slight name alteration of the Seti@Murc to
SETI/Genome@Murc - or DistComp@Murc - or Team(S)@Murc - or well - maybe someone else can come up with something better....

Actually my suggestion was for a stats page like seti.matroxusers.com; were we can see our prograss, and asses our threats over time.

But I do support the idea of a rename of this forum to reflect the now varied nature of the distributed computing projects undertaken by TeamMURC.

However feel free to credit me with any good ideas you like. I don't oftain turn down undiserved credit.

I didn't think you'd suggested a forum Mark, but as you say, the rename idea is valid, and is quite easy to do...

I don't know how hard it is to do on a large forum, with all the threads etc, but the actual config change is easy

And, has anybody been to http://www.setiatmurc.f2s.com/indexnew.htm ?

I was intending to rename this forum rather than create a new genome one, so spose I'd better get on with it

As far as sites go Pace the offer is still there for space on the murc server for example distributed.matroxusers.com and if Martin or someone else wants to do genome stats we can have genome.matroxusers.com.

Ok, I'll set a target for Easter

By then, we'd like:[list][*]The forum renamed [*]A DC site[*]A news script for the DC site![*]Stats! Maybe even with top MURCer by hours crunched...?[*]Everything up on matroxusers.com!

If anyone can help with any of the above then...let us know

Yea I don't think I'll finish my tasks as quick as Ant though!

Also, while Ant's around, what kind of database support does our wonderful host provide?

                            Thanks,

I'll find out, there's a choice of going onto a NT or Linux server.
