  • We need more Genome crunchers!!

OcUK is doing a good job of fending us off...their lead is gaining...We need more crunchers to push past OcUK! See here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...&threadid=1386

DSLR is looking to ramp up production as well: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rema...seti;mode=flat

I'll stop buying all my hardware from OcUK if that will help

Should have another couple of high speed PIIIs to throw at Genome in the not too distant future I hope.

Ah sorry, I had my computer rerunning the last unit for the past couple of days. I just uploaded a couple of genes though, so we will have climbed a bit again

This new unit I will re-run for a couple of days as well. Makes it easier for my old ailing CPU

I have my P133, P166 and main P3-750@825 crunching. I have 4 other machines, but they are not under my direct control, so I can't guarantee that the Genome CLI window will stay open. Perhaps when utilities that can hide the CLI window reliably are available, I'll load SETI on them.

Ok, I'll move away from my race to 3k-seti-units to the first team hits 100k Genome-units.

If all seti@murc-crunchers runs Genome for a week we should produce over 50k.

Just ordered an ASUS CUV4X-D (???) motherboard - Dual Socket 370 (with 1 extra PIII-933 to make it a dual PIII-933) with 256MB PC133 HSDRAM (2x128MB) to replace my aging PIII-650@866 on an ABIT BE6 motherboard. This is for my Win2K box.

I also ordered a PIII-1000 to replace my PIII-933 in my ABIT BX133-RAID (Windows ME) box.

This should boost my production somewhat (I Hope at this price)

Of course, this now means that I'll have an ABIT BE6 and PIII650@866 to rebuild my 2nd Linux BOX

                      DOH!

I was going to ask you to give me those "old" processors! Heck it would double my production!
Of course I would have paid shipping!

Grr.... Gotta get those firewalls working...

Fred, (still trying to keep up, but without that kind of budget. )

ok... I'll start... but I doubt I'll be the one to finish...

OCN... a rag tag band of pirates we are...

what you have seen is merely our scouting party, fear you will as our
                        fleet is many...

** SETI... in less than 1 year, we ranked #25 in club teams, top 50
overall... none would pass, that we did not later pass... we grew
                        bored... then, we moved on...

** folding... within our first few weeks, we were predicted to be a
top 5 team... current rank is #10... alas, some grew bored... some
                        moved on...

** genome... we rose to a top ten rank with a mere nine members... we
have gained another 8 as our exploits have turned to legend... check
our folding team list... imagine us all collecting gnomes... the
amazing thing is most of our really big guns have not even been
brought to bear on either project...

as I said... we're just a scouting party...

                        MWUAHAHAHAHA

My Duron @900 has been bumped to running 24/7 (unless I want to play UT ), and as soon as I get a replacement motherboard for my Katmai 500 it'll join in as well.

Team OcUK are gonna whup your little bottoms!

You have almost twice as many memebers as us, and we're still ahead!

I've got 6GHz of CPU power still in reserve that I'm hoping to bring online for OcUK this afternoon. Then it's bye-bye Matrox, and likely to be bye-bye DSL as well!

                              Zoooooommmmm.
