Did some comparison between a 31aa unit (5 points) and an 80aa unit (20 points), the 31aa one took around 4½ minute per sequence, the 80aa one took around 18 minutes per sequence, which gives me 2.2 points/hour in either case. So it looks like unit size doesn't matter, at least not on my system.
