Well, I've no plans to joing yet another project now.

Besides, I'll probaby not reach my current seti-goal before 2004.

Uh, if the g's are silent now, I'll screw up the Seti-stats more times for uru.

Tis a sad day for the SETI Murcers

Sure is ,MURC used to be a decent rival to TA ,not for a while now

Btw I wouldn't say there have been that many outages......... mind you I usually don't notice them because I run SETIQ

I'm siding with Rattledagger here, probably going back to Seti, although I do have Genome set up nice around here It'd take a bit of effort to switch back to Seti.

Don't suppose you'd fancy joing the darkside would you?
Would be a little less lonely
Ok so I went against my sig ,but it seems S@Murc is nearly dead isn't it? what's your av daily output?(I can't remember)

I don't really get into the team stats much now. Now MURC is spread over several projects, and quite thinly at that. Genome only had 15 users upload this past week, Seti was more respectable with over 100 MURCers active. How active is DF?

I tried to convert two P3-500s over to Seti last week, but one PSU busted. I always thought they ran hot (they are 4U racks), but thought they were reliable. I'm going to get 3 nice and cool PSUs to replace the busted one, and the second rack, and a third one currently awaiting a hard drive donation.

Then it's transfer everything else onto Seti. Might wait until I've passed the next milestone in Genome though. Never thought I'd be pushing almost 5GHz of power. I remember thinking a 16GHz farm was amazing, I should surpass that pretty soon.

Wonder how long before we can get some Itanium2 Seti-loving going on

Here's a crazy thought- how 'bout a focused group effort like it used to be when I first joined here when we were cranking out SETI pretty heavily.
I would be willing to go back to SETI as that's the project that got me interested in DC to begin with. I'm with DF right now because that's where the most focus seems to be right now. I don't care about my stats as much now as my machines I used here on our network have been deemed "work only" by the big cheese (my Father) while I was away on vacation last week. So I'm no longer able to even make an effort to be number 1 at any project anymore. I would like to contribute though where the team could be a real threat. We (MURC in general) produce a bunch of units for so few active members.
It's been hashed over many times but if a concensus could be reached I would be willing to follow the rest of the team wherever the effort goes.

If we focused on Distributed folding, we would be really big. Right now, we are in 17th place.

As for Seti, I thought they were shutting down the current project soon. Personally, I won't go back to Seti because of all the connection problems I had with them and all but one of my machines needs to run the project as a service.

I havent had connection problems in months ,but then I do use SETIQ ,seriously though ,its not a real problem anymore.

S@H1 is due to finish in about March next year ,about the same time S@H2 will be started

Good to see some activty here btw

I thought we'd all disappeared. Been WAY to quiet around here.

Agreed. We actualy spurted up to 16th for a short while a few days back.

Yeah, we got up to 16th but then Sun got all of it's processing powering back and then maybe some more and jumped serveral places eventually passing us.

Well if we're going to do a combined effort, I would prefer DF. More meaning to it than SETI if you ask me.
