restricting CPU usage

    it didn't help...

    ok what i found is it only goes high when im uploading... once uploading stops, cpu usage goes down to 10% for kazaa.... then again when uploading starts, cpu usage goes to 90% .... so it certainly is a bug in kazaa ... and nothing to do with spyware/adware

        Since I gather that your running win98, have you installed the latest patches and updates for your OS from MS? I do recall way back when, that win98 did have some available TCP/IP updates (I think to Version 2.0 of something or other).

        If your running another OS, do let us know. Otherwise, this is a very disturbing "problem" to say the least.

          It tried to access the internet to install Microsoft Installer 2.0 while installing without warning. I do not like that. Zonealarm stopped it though.
