Only six left. DF keeps haveing problems. Keeps dropping our uploads (in the last couple of weeks I've done almost 2K negative units). And just isn't that competative anymore. Ontop of that Genome is stopping. Geeee. and I remember listening to people saying Seti was useless and MURC should put it's efforts to something more worthwile. And so we did, Well sort of.

I was just looking at the Seti stats page and it's seams that is were most people still are, were the action is. Heck, even without a single upload in ( insert yourown sacrastic qwip for a long time); I've "only" fallen to 17th. Maybe it's time to refocus the efforts of the MURCers, and begin a serious assault up the ranks in a single project again. Togerther we can be much stronger than we are now. Seti seems to be a good choice to marchal around as the fewest people would have to change, and we have a competative team already, just not shure if it can be run and hidden as elegantly as the DF service.

But if anyone has other ideas please bring them foward.

EDIT: got to keep those simbols that don't show up out of my posts. The second set were supposed to be brackets.

Well that was 17th, just become 18th. Did wonder if I'd stop at 10K but I think I'll keep going for a while.
If I ever think of a worthwhile sig I'll use one.

I'd gladly drop to 25th, if we could come to a concensus and return to being a strong unified teem, in A distributed project. Instead of all wandering in separet directions.

Hey a little more time has passed, am I 20th yet? Remember I haven't contributed to SETI in ohhh....about a year, or more?

The DF results at http://www.statsman.org/distfoldingstats/609.html are always goofy as of late.

I prefer to use http://stats.zerothelement.com/cgi-b...rs.pl?team=609 if I want to see accurate results.

I'll keep chugging away at SETI for now but if a concensus for something else is established, I'll certainly keep an open mind about switching.

I am still going, but I am down to one machine, due to bug in df that keeps crashing my work machine.

I am trying the cli client , so I should be produceing a bit more soon.

But as distributed stuff goes, I think I'll stick with DF I find Seti pointless, and while I think the genome stuff is ok.
I have a feeling some wanker will end up trying to patent some of the results.

Patents/copyrights of genes and program algorythims truly suck are going feck things for everyone

Any suggestions for a something that actually has practical value for people is okay with me...

Just to let you know, DF patented their folding system too.
