just pushed one machine a bit far when overclocking and it seems that overnight I added a couple of "short" runs to the team total It did produce the short runs very quickly though so maybe a bit of a voltage boost is in order instead of bringing the machine back into the stable regions

At least you produced 'short runs'.
My initial machine, on it's initial run, some time ago, failed with errors on phase 1 - phase 2 transition, and I had to start it over from scratch.

With a bit of luck I'll be regaining the MURC 2nd place shortly And also breaking in to the overall top 1000... I don't think I'm in any danger of challenging SitFlyer though!

My main rig is stable again, as I've taken it right back to stock speeds...

My brother and I both use this computer for gaming often and CDPN, at least on our system which is a tad out of date, somehow manages to cause stutters and other performance issues. We don't leave the computer on 24/7, and often CDPN would get cut off before the 144 timestep save point, losing quite a while of processing time.

Your climate model has an extreme climate. To confirm this interesting result, we are recalculating some previous timesteps.

Got that at around 60% of phase 3. Sounds like fun.

A little while later, I checked out on the model, and saw one of those -42 snowballs.

I think that 2.26GB memoryleak the model.exe caused might have something to do with it.

                    • You overclocking at all? I've had that introduce instabilities...

                      • Somehow it has stabilized itself, I think it rolled back a bit and tried again.
It's mighty hot in some places though, so the climate are still kinda extreme.

                        • My move upwards, in the individual stats has ended. One machine has been moved to non 24/7 yesterday. Another one will be going there tomorrow.
The highest I got, in the individual stats was 32nd. I'm 33rd now.
On another note, my new main system posted it's second completed run, recently. My former main has yet to finish it's 1st (24% of phase 3, right now). The new system is Barton 2500+ clocked as a 2800+ (2.083 Ghz, via multi only , no fsb OC), the old one is 1.4 Athlon @ 1.466.

                          • Well done for getting so high!

Hopefully I should speed up a little soon as my athlon 2000+ gets replaced by a barton 2500+...

                            • We've slipped to position 40 of 500 groups... So come on people keep on/start crunching!

For interest, my new 2500+ barton clocked at 2.2GHz (although the memory is left asynch...) now produces a trickle about every 8 hours... which is nice That'll get switched off over christmas though unfortunately.

Also - have a look here: http://cpdn.comlab.ox.ac.uk/map/index.html - there's someone crunching in Palmer Station, Antarctica!
