Matroxusers team for CPDN BOINC

  • It does not have a 3.5" drive. If I remember correctly it needs that to run memtest. Anyway, I sorta use CPDN to test for stability and the number of errors I get are to small to suggest a structural problem sofar. The other model (a HT'ed machine) runs just fine.

    • You can run memtest from a CD as well.

      This test CD combines a lot of tools:

      (the basic version contains testools; the full version adds a Knoppix linux distribution - runs Linux directly from CD)

      • As already mentioned earlier, have a couple old CPDN-wu needs to finish 1st, and this goes very slowly due to alpha-testing other BOINC-projects. Also, chasing down bugs in BOINC itself takes some time...

        Hmm, the sulphur-cycle is rougly 60% slower per timestep, and there are 5 periods compared to 3 in released model...
