Might sneak it on my brothers pc. It's an XP 2600 I think.

I reckon we might get to #100 within a month.

We definately could. Most of us started late. If you look at what is recently added ("Recent Average Credit"), we rank #96 already!

ok, since I'm a completely newbie to boinc, I'm a little confused what the ETC of ~600 hours is about and when it'll submit any results.

anybody care to enlighten me ?
Despite my nickname causing confusion, I am not female ...

YEAAAAAAHHAHAAAA! Another joiner to the winner team of MURC!

Sure, the whole model takes about 600 hrs (i.a. CPU dependent) to run. It will pass on intermediate results every 1/72nd of the model, so ofter less than 10hrs CPU time, you're on the list.

What made you join the team?

Er, no idea... just had a simulation finish on my quicker machine, that coincided with some network problems. So it could be a glitch (and hence may well be reversed soon), or else you get extra credit for finishing a full model (which I wasn't aware happened...)

Right. Had a look. Definitely a glitch I'd say, arising from the recently finished run. Probably linked to the issue here.

I now have a total of 14519 points in the table, but adding up my 3 models (1 complete, 2 running) I should only have 7486 points:

                          Model 1 (completed successfully) - 5444
Model 2 (still running on a slow machine) - 1890
                          Model 3 (Just started running) - 151

Definitely not right so presumably it'll get corrected... and it can't be an addition of my CPDN Classic points as that would have been an extra 93,766

Oh well I suppose it puts me in first for a little while

The good thing about this (...) is that this appears to happen when models get completed. As those above us will more likely have finsihed models, they'll have benefitted from this more. If and when they correct this, it'll make us rise yet again.

We're #132 right now (partly because of the involuntary cheat of GNEP ), and still rising...

                              two reasons:

                              1. this thread
                              2. the fact that Martin (Ees) somewhat discontinued MURC's SETI pages and thus I see only little reason to put my CPU cycles still into SETI
