QuakeII and MGA Tweak

Hiya everyone.

Why oh why does Quake II drop the framerate when I use MGA Tweak?
When I run Quake II with MGA Tweak I get 110fps without MGA Tweak I get 111,5fps.
I have the following hardware.

PIII 500MHz overclocked to 585MHz
ABIT BX6 2.0
G400 MAX
256MB Hyundai ECC SDRAM
6,4Gb Maxtor SCSI
Tekram 390U SCSI controller
3Com 509B
Soundblaster Awe 64
Jetway internal PCI Modem 56,6

Please help me or give ma an explanation.

Well, it might help to know what settings you are using in MGATweak. I myself do not have a G400, so I probably couldn't help much anyway. But, ya know, kinda helpful info...

if you enable sgram opt. but don't change the settings it'll degrade your performance, set them to the ones in the pdf file

Hi

Well I've got them at exactly those numbers but I still loose 1frame in Quake II.
In other games it's a very small increase in performance.
I use Win98Se and DX7 too.
