You can go faster than that...
I normally have my G400 at 120% with the Matrox utility since it will embed those settings into the cards' BIOS I believe.
And, when I play a game, I use MGA tweak and have the PLL at or around 400MHz, with the dividers set at 2.25, 2.0, 2.25..
I have left all the other settings as they were default.
