dualhead - newbie problem

How can i watch my wintv application on the dualhead, i mean not on the main monitor, on my tv ? which options should i choose ? i have no idea how to launch an application on the second monitor. i want to work while my girl friend can watch "decoded" tv. any help would be nice.
