Problems with Win2K and Directx 7 Mga400-MAX

After installing the beta driver 5.00.007 from the matrox site under win2000 prof the matrox diagnostic window pops up and tell me that directx is missing.
But win2000 shows me that directx7 is installed. Any ideas to solve this problem?
I`ve got the same Problem as THX have!!!

Do y have the German version?
English version works perfect with g400max

Problem solved!
Don`t try to use Win2k(German Version) with English-Drivers!
Except when you`re going to disable all Direct 3d and Direct draw options!
+ Turn off the hardware-acceleration of the MGA400!
