dualhead resolutions... g400 on win2k

I know... i know... i've been posting on this topic before.
I have 2 17" monitors hooked on my G400 32MB DH. My primary monitor is detected fine, no problems there. But the second monitor is detected s a 1024x768 PnP monitor. Why??
Is there a way around this plug and play thing??

I found a way around this problem. It's not a solution, but.... Here goes anyway. When I install the drivers i have control over the second monitor. Now, everytime i restart i leave my second monitor off until it is restarted. So windows cannot initialize the PnP bit for the monitor.... hmmm, a bit goofy, i know...
