    Hi...

I am using the latest g400 driver and it is giving me some problem, the screen refreshes very slowly sometimes, mirc and iexplore(sometimes iexplore would open but then freeze) sometimes stop working when i have photoshop open etc...then i cant end the program, it would say something like its trying to debug etc...and lastly the i still cant open or start some programs such as TabSurf with the Maxview option turned ON.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

it would say something like its trying to debug etc...
Is it saying "Would you like to debug this page?" followed by a window saying "This page contains javascript errors, would you like to continue (trying) to use javascript? Y/N" ??

If so, disable the use of javascript in your browser. (That's how I work around some of these problems in Win98)

Yeah sometimes it says that its trying to debug..what the hell is kind of bs is that!
and then sometimes...when i try to open iexplore the window pops up and then the little world icon would spin for a sec and then stops completely, and I wont be able to close or end iexplore and i cant do anything except move the cursor around...cant evern restart or shut off the system, i would have to turn it off manually...Its been happening alot. Here is my case...i would be using Photoshop and then be jumping to ms iexplore v5 window and go to a url or somewhere and it would happen, is this matrox driver or win2000 problem? ...help!
      thanks...

As far as I've tried to get this bug in Win98(FE), it's not a Matrox problem, but a Microsoft problem, either in Windows (whichever version 9x or 2k) or in IE5.

What you could try is to set your checking of updated pages to automatic, and temp-internet files directory to bigger than the usual 75Mb.

Also, placing these temp files on the same hdd/partition as your swap file is would speed things up.

And after you found out that that doesn't work, set checking of updated pages to never, and check the empty temporary internet files when browser is closed under the Advanced tab. This also makes the browser more stable, in fact it will hardly ever crash again.
