G400 Marvel-TV

hey guys,

Im wondering when G400 Marvel TV driver for Windows 2000 going to release ? Since there is no driver for it.. so it means I cant use the card until driver is out ?? Thanks

no idea on when the win2k driver is out, but you might check for the release of the Video Tools soon. This will enable alot of features on the Marvels (G200 and G400) to be used with the new drivers.

Anyway, here's my question.

I'm using Matrox G400 W2K drivers for my Marvel and seem to work pretty fine.

But, when I play a DVD with SoftDVD the video is so slow that is impossible to watch a movie. (Under Win98 work fantastic).

With PowerDVD the display is acceptable.

With the DVD player that comes with W2K I used to get an error about not having a driver that supported DVD decoding. (PD 5.03 fixed that).

So, my question is, is it possible that because I'm using the Matrox drivers, the DVD programs have to decode the DVD's by software and cannot use the built in decoder? I've also noticed that the CPU utilization is 100%!
