  • PD 5.52 and SS7/via fix ( at least for me)

got this from dejanews and it did work with my Super socket 7 setup:

    1) change to plain VGA driver; reboot

    2) Do matrox PD un-install; DON'T reboot

    3) find and delete (if there) pddata.bin, pdeskcmd.exe, pdkernal.dll

    4) reboot and select 5.52

    5) enjoy lack of hanging cursor and d3d pauses.

    hope this helps

Thanks for the tip, but will it work with G200 cards? I don't think so, since I tried with the PDesk and kernel from 5.25 and still get crashes as soon as I initialize DirectX or OpenGL. I'll still give it a try to be on the safe side...

      Thanks for the tip
Anyway, I will stick to the 5.41 drivers, cause I need them for my Marvel.
I was just wondering if you also get the TurboGL to work in this way ?
      AMD-K6-2-300, EPOX-58MVP3C-M,
      Marvel G400, 64MB+64MB(PC100+PC133), Maxtor DM40PLUS 30GB,
W98 (no SE), currently no overclocking (FSB=100)
