DirectX 7.0 is unknown to Matrox

I am 60 years old and after installing DirectX with Messiah, I got a message from Matrox Diag. saying that I needed to reinstall DirectX because I had an old version. I tried to reinstall DirectX from Microsoft but I still keep getting the same message (error 22) from Matrox diag. and according to Matrox properties my DirectX version is unknown.

This happens if you use a powerdesk-version that is too old to recognize DX7.
Just update/install a newer Powerdesk version instead of reinstalling DX7 and you`ll be fine
