• Powerdesk Win2k Resolution Manager

I have created a new version of the Powerdesk Resolution Manager that works under Windows 2000. This utility allows you to modify the available resolutions and associated parameters, such as refresh rate, on your Matrox video card.

This version is for Windows 2000 only (not Windows 9x), but it MIGHT also work under Windows NT.

Please give it a try and send me your feedback! Be sure to read the enclosed text file before running the program.

Get the Powerdesk Win2k Resolution Manager here:

    Enjoy!

Thank you! Works like a charm. Finally, I'm able to run Windows 2000 at 1792x1344 with a decent refresh rate.

    A few small suggestions:

[*]It would be useful if you could add a "Revert" button that causes the selected mode entry to revert to the original "factory" parameters. "Revert All" might also be useful.

[*]I would prefer it if the timestamp of the G400M.SYS file were not altered. (You can use GetFileTime() and SetFileTime() to save and restore the timestamp before and after the modification.)
[/list]

Thanks for your feedback, Spire! I'll keep your suggestions under consideration, but I hope to abandon the driver hacking method altogether once Powerdesk 6.1x comes out (assuming it has Powerdesk Win9x-like features).
