Matrox HANGS HELP!

I formatted my HD and I reinstalle win 98 and win nt.
After i reinstalled power desks drivers on matrox windows 98 stops working (while win NT works well whit Matrox drivers).
I reinstalled again win 98 and i only installed matrox drivers and i have the same problem).
Before reistelling everything, windows worked well.
Any idea?

Do u have assigned IRQ for G400 ? Checkout your BIOS.

Kirys, did you install the windows vga driver before using the matrox drivers? I understand it's the recommended way to do it.

can you give us your system specs? Does your chipset need any patches?
