I just installed the latest Windows 2000 drivers ( Nov 6, 5.20.016 ) for my G400 MAX and it somehow lost the monitor setting completely.
The "Monitors"-device disappeared from the Device Manager and the only settings that were available were 640x480 and 800x600 with 16 colors. No dual-monitor features or anything else for that matter. Adapter Type was still "Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead", but Monitor Type said "default monitor" or something like that and it couldn't be changed.
The only thing that worked was to update the DirectX 7a drivers to the just released DirectX 8 Final. In the release notes it says "DirectX 7" under the new features, which is quite odd. So anyway, are these drivers DX8-only or is my system somehow screwed ?
