talking about the updrade freenzy, i've had the bug for about 6 months now.
i orignally had;

crap keyboard

this was a rock solid system that performed well for what i was doing then it came...
in this six month period i bought the following;

pioneer 103s dvd $150
19 in diamondview 1995 monitor $880
28.5G seagate ultra ata66 hd $450
abit ata66 ide pci adaptor $45
agfa 1212u scanner $0 (present)
orb 2.2G drive + 2 orb discs + 5in bay adaptor bracket $358
nortel 100 cable modem + smc pci ethernet adaptor $400
asus p3v4x mb $200
asus slot1 to 370pga adaptor $25
P!!! 550e fc pga cpu $500
total $3458
(my god i'd never worked that out before, thank god i'm sitting down. thing is i still neeeeed to get some cas2 133 sdram & swiftech mc370-4 peltier cooler.)
people are right, it is a kind of disease which i don't think is very curable(girlfriend still complains about the time i spend infront of the pc & online, course she is correct). i justify it like this, i could seek help which would cost a fourtune anyway, at least this keeps me out of trouble & of the streets at night. this excuse is a little thin isn't it? oh well at least i can play UT nice and quick with the res all the way up & frag people halfway across the globe with sub 100 ping times!
