THIS is craaazy (Quantum3d - Aalchemy)

New 3D card released from Quantum3D. You thought GayForce sometimes uses to much power. The biggest version of this card (32 3DFX VSA 100 processors) uses 1600 Watts !!!

I know this is not a consumer product, but still 1600 watts. And 64 Mb RAM for 32 processors seems a bit cheap, or what ?

Of course if you can't afford the 32 chip version, you can just go for the cheap 4 Voodoo3 processor version, which only consumes 200 watts

So does it really even matter how many of them you pile on the PCB??? Do they make things look any better, the more of them you have?? This <u>is</u> intended for "professional graphics application work", isn't it???

But you know there'll be some online gamers who'll find a way to get access to one of these systems... now, that will be entertainment (the moaning of the fragged, the crowing of the fps kings)...
