                I'm not certain, but I'd think that the profiles of everyone who's posted in a thread must be in some kind of buffer, since when you point at the profile icon, the poster's nick is inserted and it pops right up in a new window
                No, it's only getting the information when you actually click on the Profile icon and thus call ubbmisc.cgi.
