When I saw this reported yesterday they said "virus" but it seemed it was just SPAM. So I take it that some of these phones support a scripting language that allows this abuse? Is this VBS or what?<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

From what I understand, it's a VBS virus that affects computer e-mail. Because of the network it affects, it sends a zillion text messages to randomly generated phone numbers. Those text messages can then be received by the phones.
I don't think the virus does any damage to the phone other than fill up your text mailbox... yet.
I can't imagine that time is too far off, though.PIII 550@605
