I suspect all of you that care already know, but just in case (from http://www.planetfortress.com/):

Tomorrow, 11PST the CLIENT patch will be release the file size will be 39mbs for full upgrade and 22.7 for 1016 to 1100. Right now Valve is releasing the dedicated server, Linux is about 23mb and the Windows is 17mbs.

Apparently 'making bacon' is off, SCompy...someone seems to object to TBoY exercising her rights of judgement on this forum .

I don't mean to drag a relatively personal difference of opinion onto the forums, or to disrupt the thread, and I'm sorry. I'm also sorry to post this under my mod nick, as opposed to my personal one. But it's another opportunity to make my official position clear, and you know I always take those, since I believe that you have a right to know what any Boss of You thinks .

I love Jorden, and I have every respect for him as my husband (to-be). Generally, I respect his judgement and advice, especially in these last few days before I move to Holland, when time is short and I cannot be around as much as I normally would. We do not always agree, however, and he is not the moderator of this forum.

In my judgement, he overreacted to the teasing over bacon's nick, and certainly went too far by 'threatening' all of you with his relationship with me. Many of us have been on these boards and seen flamewars involving such legendary persons as djroberts, tylau and others, so maybe I'm just too jaded to be very concerned about a few jokes regarding bacon and cheese. Naturally, if bacon himself had been upset, that would have been an issue, but I hope that the relationship between you, the members, and me, the moderator, is such that a gentle warning would have been sufficient... and that warning not even from me--plenty of other members are kind-hearted and outspoken enough to have given such a warning if necessary.

My point is, Jord and I are two separate people, and he is not my personal proxy unless I tell you that he is so, though as a moderator in his own right, he does bear listening to.

When I agree with him, or any of you, I'll tell you so, as I will tell you when I don't agree. Those of you familiar with my style probably know that my post above indicated that I didn't agree with him, but didn't consider it very serious, as I made a joke about it. Had I felt more strongly, I would have made a clearer, more direct post, as I have done here.

The fact that he doesn't agree with my disagreement (or the fact that he's not happy that I "win" by default) is not something that you as members need be concerned about; your tendency to just ignore it is a good choice, and I wouldn't go against that but for the chance to tell you what my policy is.

I don't particularly appreciate him pitching his little tantrum in this thread, but deleting the post would be going too far, so I'm leaving it (sorry). Please feel free to ignore any further posts unrelated to Valve, TFC, bacon , or cheese .

Bacon, cheese will be brought up on the Soap Box for any reason whatsoever. The first great cheese thread started out innocently enough, and it went on for literally hundreds of posts. (I guess I was responsible for some of them. )

Your handle was bound to be a hit here. Do a search on cheese when you have a few hours.
