1. I believe in the death penalty for murder. You took a life without just cause, therefore you gave up your right to light.

It may end up being one of your loved ones btw I don't buy that "I live righteously so it can't (won't) happen to me or loved ones crap. But if it happens to you guess what, SHIT HAPPENS cope or kill yourself. I believe that if people saw that they would die if they killed some would not. Some would anyway, and those you need to get rid of. Without strict rules we will be heading back to anarchy and total decadence. Today we think we can get away with anything. We're doing all sorts of illegal shit because we can get away with it. If we couldn't get away with it we wouldn't do it. Well, it's been fun seeing the chasm between the views advocated in the media in (so-called? self-announced?) free countries and real public opinion. I'm inclined to believe the majority of the press in Denmark was applauding the trial and its results while unlightened MURCers & subMURCers called the trial a shame.

CHHASE, would you confirm or reject my guessing?

Joel, would you explain whether or not mentioning racial, sexual etc. issues in connection with crime and criminal statistics is prohibited or at least is considered not tolerable in Western countries?

I didn't mean to offend anybody. Any productive discussion would be appreciated.

Some people seem to have misinterpreted one of my statements...

I never said that bad things can't happen to me or my loved ones because we're righteous individuals. What I said (and let's be clear on this) was that I will likely never stand falsely accused of murder because I don't hang out where murders happen, etc. etc.

I'm not saying it can't happen. But let's face it - 99% of the people who are eventually exonerated (sp?) of crimes like murder were not nice people to begin with, they just weren't killers (at least not that particular time).

A little news...

The DA on the Danish teen rape case filed a formal appeal yesterday, calling for an increase in the sentence of the offenders in question.

To tell you a bit more about the case, I can tell you that the offenders were all what is reffered to in Denmark as "2nd generation immigrants".

Unlike the US where almost everyone is an immigrant if they trace there family tree back long enough, the term immigrant means someone whos parents moved here from Africa or the Mediterenian back in the 60's and 70's, when the demand for labour (primarily in the industry) was growing faster than the birth-rate.

There has been several problems in the last 5-10 years related to this minority. Problems with gangs of teen troublemakers are the most common. Vandalism, random outbursts of violence and drug related crimes are the most common offences.

I'm no racist, but I agree with some of the view expressed in Danish media lately, that this ethnic group has a problem teaching their youth to respect someone outside their own culture.

It seems to me that a lot of them view us (whities) with scorn because we live our life with another set of cultural values.

It was argued by the prosecution during the trial of the teen rapists that the offenders "viewed the Danish girl as nothing but a cheap hore" because "all Danish girls in their minds are promiscuous (SP?)". Meaning that the boys thought it was ok to gang-rape their victim. Their view: "She must have wanted it, because all Danish girls practice sex before marriage."

Their logic of this being, that since no girl from their own community will practice sex before marriage, and only a few Danish girls are interested in them at all, they found Danish girl and gang-raped her. Nice logic...

I don't know if the prosecution was right, but it's a disturbing thought.

Ghydda - Well, i guess it would need to be what the person would have wanted. In my family it is clearly covered. We, myself, siblings and parrents, all want the plug pulled. Kind of a personal thing.

So, if it was the choice of the person to have it done, it should not break any laws. Other then that I am not sure. This is a hard one. It is a mercy thing... Again not sure.
