Try again Andy. I was able to get it when Himself posted this and again just now. The article is a bit lengthy (and multi-page) for c&p. BTW, a bud of mine was a software developer of the Amiga.<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

Ahh.. the memories
Makes me wish I still had my old A500.If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

External floppy? Wasn't the floppy on the side of the A500? I always thought the 512K add on 'triangle' was one of the coolest looking upgrades ever.
Man, what a computer that was! I remember the 15" 1084S monitors that cost, what, $500? STEREO SOUND FROM A COMPUTER! Nothing will beat that! hehehePIII 550@605

Remember how revolutionary the Amiga was? Daughter chips to handle sound, graphics, etc. Now, it's exactly that way, except the daughter chips are all on their own cards.
Why did Commodore have to wreck the best computer out there?!?
I still remember the Amiga vs. Mac flame wars. IBM wasn't even in the discussion then...PIII 550@605

Guess their website is a bit flaky. I just tried and IE5 couldn't find the site. I tried to ping it and it couldn't find the DNS entry "Unknown host".<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

C'mon - who needed a 2nd disk drive when you could just create a RAM drive & go?!?
Didn't work so well with the 500, but with the 2000 and the 2.5M of ram, that's WAAAY more than you'd ever need...hehe
