Hey guys. I need help. I just installed Win2k for the first time tonight. Seems great so far, but there's just one little problem that might prevent me from leaving win98 entirely.
Here's the thing. I have a P2-350, 64MB, and G400DH 32MB in my machine. In Win98, I can play DVDs using WinDVD 2000 (v2.1) with no dropped frames, and with proper AC-3 sent to my home theatre receiver from my SBLive (full original version w/ SP/DIF).
In Win2k, the video playback is a little choppy (not terrible, but annoying), and I can only get stereo sound. The option to enable the SP/DIF is greyed out. Does anyone have any idea if this is Win2k's fault (or possibly LiveWare3.0's fault for the AC-3 bit), or is there something I can do to fix either or both of these issues?
Thanks guys. Yes, I know I'm overdue for an upgrade, but I'm kind of broke right now.
