Still haven't seen anything like this at home or at work. Perhaps something downloaded to your harddrive without you knowing about it. Try www.grc.com for the optout software which kills these spy software.

I seriously think it's a rogue script, running from the ad banners. Ant should complain.

If it were consistant to one or two threads it would be pretty easy to figure out what is causing it. The problem is that it seems random. I got it going into (or out of) three straight threads. I went back into the same threads and it didn't pop up again. I thought that it was storing a cookie to tell it not to pop back up in that thread (sounded logical at the time), so I deleted my temp files of all of the cookies. I then went back into the same threads and it didn't pop up again. Later that same night I went into one of the offending threads (Gaming Forum, "Game Server Survey") and, guess what? Yep another ad.

It's hard to track a problem that is so inconsistant. If anyone does figure it out, let me know. I want to advertise with them. Look at how many times their links have been posted in this thread alone. $$$

I haven't seen anything like this...but then again, I have never encountered that advert which supposedly has sound....

Perhaps noting which ads it appears with is more useful?

If you see the pop-up when leaving a thread hit back and see which banner was there

I haven't seen it at all yet btw...

So far, I have not seen any of these ads. I tried going to all the threads that were posted here, no popup ads.

I've only seen it when I have Webwasher turned off while running NS. Havn't seen it running IE (yet). Yes that "reload on back" sucks.

Thats interesting, I have never seen the popup ad, and my machine doesn't cycle the ads when I hit back (either that or I got the same 1 lots of times just now )
