I can't believe that having either one in office would make the slightest bit of difference. They're both poor choices.

What does a US President actually do? Other than photo ops and starting wars?

I am SO sick of hearing that argument. It is slanderous, falacious and there are no grounds whatsoever for making that claim.
That may be so but it did not help the matter any.

All of you that don't want Bush in the White House are free to send me the extra money you find in your check each month. Even you will benefit from the tax cuts. When your parents pass away (heaven forbid) just go ahead and send me the 50% of the inheritance that you will no longer have to send to the Government. Those of you that are married can send me a little extra at the end of the year that you have saved on taxes.

Come on guys. Put your money where your mouth is! Those of you that want to leave the country.......C-YA!!!!! You won't be missed.

Just wait and see. I think that the country will come around after they see that Bush is an effective leader. He is as bipartisan as they come. I hear he is making Jesse Jackson the "Secretary of Rhyming".

            Thank you EA!!!

Altho I don't agree with either side because their BS, one who is Pro Repulican must understand that spending $80,000,000 to prove to the public that Clinton WAS getting head, can bite my ass!

BTW if the Bush's were so honest why was exPresident "Georgie the 1st" involved in Watergate?!

It's the big republican Shell Game.
Bush will take far more away from you in higher interest rates than you are going to get in tax cuts. You just won't notice it in one lump sum.

                cjolley,

You have just proven how little you know about our government. The president doesn't set interest rates, that is the sole responsibility of the FED, AKA Alan Greenspan. HE sets the cost of money. Not the president.

The President doesn't set taxes, the tax code, which is legislated through acts of Congress, sets taxes.

                Mike,

one who is Pro Repulican must understand that spending $80,000,000 to prove to the public that Clinton WAS getting head,
This statement here represents one of the main reasons I hate the media. For dumbing the population. The money was spent on investigating Mr. Clinton for perjury. He lied on the stand while under oath. If you or I lie on the stand, we get prosecuted and get punished. Mr. Clinton is made of teflon though.

                Himknowlege,
What does a US President actually do? Other than photo ops and starting wars?
The President is our Executive branch of government. His duty is basically to approve or veto legislation. He is also the head of our military, but he CANNOT declare ware. Congress holds the sole responsibility of declaring war.

                Rags,
Who isn't pro Gore or Pro Bush. Rather I am Pro America, and I happen to have high respect for the office of The Presidency, and the other two branches of our government. It's a shame more people don't understand how our system works.

I have no party affiliation and always go with the best choice for me. The choice this time was for personal rights and freedom.

The next pres will likely appoint some Supreme Court Justices, and I don't want it to be the one with an agenda of denying rights for gun owners, types of music or whatever else he and Tipper decide "we" don't need or shouldn't have.

I have to disagree. Most of that money was spent before he ever lied about a blowjob. I see the whole thing as an almost $200 million dollar witch hunt that started with them going after his wife first. But of course an election year was coming up and they had to do something.

                      Joel,

I was speaking with regards to the Monica Lewinsky case.

As far as the more serious allegations, if the media was as hounding on this as it was with Reagan and the Iran Contra deal, well...I believe Mr. Clinton and his not so lovely wife would be behind bars. That's all I have to say about this.

If you think the FED sits in a windowless room to set interest rates you are mistaken.
Differences in Administrations policies have a huge effect on the decisions that the FED makes.
