  • The S**T has hit the fan!

I just read a preview of Micro$oft Office 10 and they hawe finaly started using the subscription licences!!

Aparently it reviwes the "Don't start Word more than 50 time's" topic!

And they have gotten around the "They can't do it - every one doesen't have interent acces" you can phone in the 26 alpha numeric and get an even loooooonger one to enter in you'r computer!!

OK OK this isn't that big because there is free Office packages BUT they'l probably incorporate it in Whistler if it works in Office 10 AND that is a Horibly evil future!!

I HATE Micro$hit registrations, i registred W95 when it was new and i got snailmail terror for more than a year!!

ANd about subscriptions: I can see it clearly, every time you have to reneve it the server is down or something else.

With this and CPRM it might be "2004" instead of "1984"!!

There is ALWAYS a way around it. Someone will hack it, someone will slash it and within 48 hours of it being released you can download the crack. That or just get your hands on an MSDN copy which doens't haft to be registered =)

What do you expect from a company that has a monopoly and cares very little about the end user expect the money the user spends on their products?

Although I have also read that... my preview copy doesn't have that in it.

It _does_ have some irritating features (like no more e-mailing .exe files, no matter what) - but that isn't one of them.

And I can tell you right now how to crack it. Set up a baby "firewall" type app listening on the port it sends out on that gives it the authentication information.

Or better yet, download the cracked version without the registration.

I for one install cracks on principal for software I own, just because I hate registering that much. *shrug*
