I'm not sure if the situation is the same, but there used to be more Star Trek websites on the Internet than anything else. Wading through all of them sounded like an awful task.
I had a roommate that refered to Major Kira as "Major Breasts."
I remember there was once talk about doing a series based on "The Adventures of Capt. Sulu" and the Excalibur. Probably just Trekkie rumor mill stuff. I bet it resulted in a lot of fan fiction, however.
I would prefer a TV movie or mini-series about the birth of the Federation. I would really like to see a series that picks up where Deep Space Nine left off. Back in the days when I actually could watch it and Voyager, it became like a soap opera for me.
I use the words soap opera loosely. I was never crazy about episodes that delved to closely into the lives of the shows' characters.
In my humble opinion, the quality of any Star Trek episode is directly proportional to the number of shots fired. As a result, Capt Janeway's tendency to try to talk things out when Voyager was fired upon, instead of immediately firing back, tended to be a real problem for me.
Maybe Cisco is in that same void that Wesley travels through, and will finally kick that PITA in the head.
