  • How to crash you programs!

    Hi,

Ok this crashes ICQ, Eudora5 Pro, Gamespy and probably alot of other programs, on a win2k sp1 machine with all updates running:

Set your clock to the year 2056, press OK, and watch ICQ crash and you will not be able to start up Eudora or ICQ. All my cfg's in half-life where gone too!

    Just for fun.
Turn it back to 2001 to reverse the effect!

Tested this on 2 win2k machines.

The mistery still remains how all of the sudden my date was turned to 2056. I didn't do a thing! Ah well.

Who got the balls to test it too!
In case it's a harware problem:
    PIII-500@560, 256 MB, G400 MAX DH on, ABIT BH6, MX300
    Win2K drivers: 5.52

The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

I just tried this with Win98SE.
ICQ crashes any time the date is set past 2037 (it works with 37 crashes on 38) If I try and start ICQ after 2038 the program tells me to check my clock settings

Load any Windows OS! It's a great way to get programs to crash :P
