Yes I did kind of start it all, but Satan made me do it. Yes this has gotten out of hand (as most things do around here). And I'm damn proud of it!!!

All I will say right now is this:

Humans are a bunch of stubborn, arrogent bastards (me included). We are arrogant enough to say that it is not possible for there to be a being capable of creating life and worlds, even as we attempt to control life and matter itself.

We are arrogent to think that we could possibly comprehend the vastness of science and nature, when we don't even understand ourselves.

We are arrogent to think that we are 'wise' and 'intellegent' as we senselessly destroy our own habitate and EACH OTHER.

We are arrogent to believe that there can ever be world peace, when we don't even know our next door neighbors name.

If you want to know if there's a God, there's only one surefire way to find out! Who will join me to find the answer to the great unknown?

      Jammrock

PS - If you don't know the answer to the last paragraph, get out of my thread!

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">I don't particularly like the way this thread started, and would love to have a separate thread for intelligent discourse on the matter before I get too much more specific (and long-winded!)...</font>
Something more along the lines of this thread?

            http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000477.html

Actually, I can't neccesarily say that revisting that thread would be such a good idea. But I do enjoy calm collected debates on religion (I would say rational debate but that always sparks arguments that usually manage to sidetrack the discussion).

Anyway, I'm all for starting a seperate thread to discuss the subject and I agree that this thread doesn't seem to be the appropriate place to do hold such a discussion.
