Oh my god.... (G450 review)

Just received a copy of Dutch mag "RealGamer" in the mail today. It has a review of the "Millenium G450" in it. The review starts out pretty good, talking about image quality and dualhead and how it's not targeted at the gamer's market... blablabla (well, the article does contain about a zillion spelling and grammatical errors but I'm used to that by now).

Then the reviewer starts wondering why the G450 32DDR is slower than a G400 32. "You'd expect a card with DDR memory to perform better than one without DDR memory. I guess it must be a driver problem."

Can you believe that? I wonder what qualifications you need to write for that crappy piece of magazine.

A driver problem? Didn't the guy take a look at the tech specs...or did he just fail to understand them? "All those mags brag about how great this new DDR thingy is, so G450 should be pretty much twice as fast as the G400"... Maybe we could send him Creative's DDR MX, then he could wonder why it's slower than the SDR counterparts. Hmmm... Must be a driver problem

didn't you already notice that all Dutch computer magazines suck?

The only magazine that doesn't suck is the German c't magazine I think (not the Dutch translated version). Almost all other magazines you can buy here suck, some just more than others (I am really missing boot magazine )

Tend to differ...
If you can read German; well, there aren't many substitutes for the German version of c't, except for Ziff-Davis' PC Magazine (no, not PCM; that's VNU), but when it comes to Dutch magazines, I think that c't is the best.

I didn't say that IF you write for RealGamer you're dumbass; I only said that IF you're a dumbass, you have no problems applying for a job there
