If you check the BIOS info page on gbm's MatroX files, you can see that the codename for the G450 was 'Condor'.

What else is there to say?

isn't it possible that they will be showing off the architecture, using its codename...

you heard rumors about the NV20 for quite a while, and then later it was officially named the GeFarce3....

like how MicroShaft talked about Whistler long before they named it Windows XP...

who said anything about Matrox naming the cards/chip the condor II... its just a poster that says 'condor II'... doesn't have a picture of the card or a chip next to it to indicate whats its about... maybe it uses 'condor II' techology... there is a world of things that it could be...

btw, i'm not being skeptical about the validity of the picture... i wish i had someone who would send me things like that

and, out of curiousity, does it remind anyone else of the Acclaim logo?

hey ant or any moderator: this speculation is running in two threads (2nd is "read this about g800" in the matrox hardware forum), is there a way you can fuse the two??
which leads right to the name fusion, what happened to tht one?
maybe condor is not video chip at all. maybe its from one of matrox other product areas (network or something). but i guess not, since the condor I was mga.

Topha: Noone at all gets inside information from Matrox. That's a good rule to start with anyway

The beta testers will obviously get some more info, if it's contained in driver releases etc.

And Ant knows nothing Seriously, he always proclaims that he posts what he knows! Matrox always have, and always will be tight-lipped about everything (excluding a few major lapses at the start of the G800 speculation).
