I'll have to try that, The PIT. Trashed my Win2000 install trying to get STR to work.

I removed my Hollywood + in device manager and proceeded to lose my nice video display. Makes sense I guess cause the G400 goes through it, so I figured no problem, I'll just reinstall it again. Though the G400 showed up in device manager could not get it out of 640 X 480, 256 colors.

One thing led to another and I killed it. I did learn that the latest drivers for the H + will allow it to go into STR, just won't come out now.

If you have never used NT, or not alot, yes steep learing curve. Otherwise rather nice. It plays all the games I like and deals well with my 2 celerons (BP6 MB). I also like the added stability and speed in high end programs.

I think there must be an absolute limit on the number of windows that you can open over all. I managed to open 68 IE windows along with 2 Netscape, 1 folder, 1 AIM, and 1 mIRC and my system was still only eating up 110MB of RAM and 3% CPU. After that I couldn't open up any more windows of ANY program.

          Thus my conclusion is this.

          WiNdOzE 2ooo oWnEz U!!

Heh, yeah, or something like that.

Anyway, one thing you people are forgetting when discussing Win95 is that Win95 and Win95 OSR2 are two VERY different operating systems. Depending on what I am donig I would choose 95 OSR2 over 98 any day. Anything below a P200 I install 95OSR2. Anything PII or above I install 98SE simply because SE has a number of additional features that are very nice.

And to whomever mentioned Win 3.1, I agree, I liked Win 3.1. It took me a long time before I switched over to Win95 from it, simply because I could never find any good reason to do so.

          Anyway, thats my 3.5 cents.
